Color Selection

Because of the unique nature of the raku process and the fact that each piece is individually glazed, there can be variations in the outcome of these glazes. Each one of my glazes has its own nature; what follows is an attempt to inform you of the particulars of each of the colors in this collection.

amethyst

Amethyst
A fairly consistent glaze, sometimes it will blush to a lighter shade.

aqua

Aqua
Green Blue consistent glaze will have some variations to the blue side at times.

coffee

Coffee
Fluid glaze can be slightly mottled and tortoiseshell-like.

eggplant/gray

Eggplant/Gray
Eggplant on top gray on bottom, only available on urns.

Emerald

Emerald
Fluid glaze, transparent, slightly mottled at times

Gun metal blue

Gunmetal blue
Opaque to transparent, very subtle glaze.

lapis

Lapis
Fluid, transparent, slightly mottled at times.

Lime

Lime
Opaque blush lighter green

Orange/Gray

Orange/Gray
Only on Urns

Persimmon

Persimmon
Opaque, blush to yellow side at times.

red

Transparent to opaque.

rose

Opaque, blush to light pink at times.

Turquoise Green and Blue

Opaque, the turquoise blue goes to the blue side and the turquoise green to the green side

Transparent to opaque, leans to chartreuse side.
